Privacy Notice

Effective Date: April 10, 2026  ·  Last Updated: April 10, 2026  ·  JT Social LLC

1. Introduction

JT Social LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates ReelBrief, an AI-powered video summary service accessible via web browser on desktop and mobile devices. This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have regarding your personal data.

ReelBrief is primarily accessed through mobile browsers. By creating an account or using the Service on any device, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account and use ReelBrief, we collect your name and email address (obtained through Manus OAuth), video URLs you submit for analysis, category names and organizational preferences you create, and any feedback or correspondence you send to us.

2.2 Information We Generate on Your Behalf

When you submit a video URL, our Service automatically generates derived content including audio transcriptions, AI-generated summaries, identified tools and products, and structured action steps. This derived content is stored in your account and associated with your user identity.

2.3 Device and Technical Information

Because the majority of our users access ReelBrief via mobile browsers, we automatically collect certain device and technical information to operate, secure, and improve the Service. This includes:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
  • Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Mobile operating system and version (e.g., iOS 17, Android 14)
  • Browser type and version (e.g., Safari, Chrome Mobile)
  • Screen resolution and viewport size
  • Pages visited, features used, and timestamps of interactions
  • Referring URL (how you arrived at the Service)
  • Error logs and crash reports

This information is used solely for operating and improving the Service and for detecting and preventing security incidents. We do not use this data for advertising profiling.

2.4 Cookies and Local Storage

We use a minimal set of cookies and browser local storage. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. The following table describes every cookie and local storage item we set:

Mobile browsers: Some mobile browsers (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android) handle cookies differently than desktop browsers, particularly in private/incognito mode where cookies may not persist between sessions. If you use private browsing, you may need to log in each time you visit.

3. How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery. We use your account information and submitted video URLs to provide the core functionality of ReelBrief, including transcribing audio, generating AI summaries, and storing your library of saved summaries.

Account Management. We use your name and email address to identify your account, enforce subscription tier limits, and communicate service-related notices.

Security and Fraud Prevention. We use IP addresses, device information, request logs, and rate limiting data to detect and prevent unauthorized access and abuse of the AI processing pipeline.

Service Improvement. We use aggregated, de-identified usage data (including device types and browser versions) to understand how the Service is used across different devices and to improve its features and mobile compatibility. We do not use your individual video content or summaries to train AI models.

Legal Compliance. We may use or retain your information as required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances.

If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information and all associated content within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes (such as audit logs, which are retained for 90 days).

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit (required for all connections including mobile browsers), HttpOnly and Secure session cookies, server-side rate limiting, strict input validation, Content-Security-Policy headers, and access controls that restrict each user to their own data. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information promptly.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access & Portability. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Restriction & Objection (GDPR). EU/EEA residents may object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.

Cookie Withdrawal. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. Note that withdrawing consent for the session cookie will log you out of the Service.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

9. Mobile-Specific Disclosures

ReelBrief is a web-based service accessed through your mobile browser. We do not offer a native mobile app and therefore do not request access to your device's camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photo library. All processing occurs on our servers — your device is only used to display the interface and transmit the video URLs you provide.

If you share a video URL from a social media app (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) to ReelBrief via your browser, the URL may contain platform-generated tracking parameters (such as Instagram's igsh token). We use these URLs solely to retrieve the video content and do not store or analyze these tracking parameters for any other purpose.

10. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you by email or through a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
